First "Buddha-Bar" in the world was in 1996 in Paris near the Consent Square. Author of a concept and idea was Raymond Visan. After 11 years glamorous, Buddha's Residence not only has not lost its popularity but expand its magnificent services in the largest cities of the world: Beirut, Dubai, Cairo, London, Kiev, Jakarta, Sao Paolo, and Prague.

The vibrants Jakarta just becomes the first in Asia to host the famous Buddha-Bar. Famous as a haven to exotic, mystical and surprising fuse of mesmerizing music, Buddha-Bar enchants Asia by opening its heavenly door in the heart of Jakarta and hosts one majestic and historical building that nestles in one of the main road of the prestigious Menteng vicinity.

The building originally built in 1913 as a leisure place including a restaurant. The ashtonishing building became the Bataviasche Kuntskring, or the Batavia Culture Center, during the Dutch colonial era before becoming the Indonesia Immigration Office.
